A very different strawberry!! What variety is this?

@Food Smarts: I'm not sure as it was a gift, but the variety should be Fragaria vesca (Wild strawberry). I grow them in a large pot in my terrace.
The cake is a different version of the popular "Tiramisu" (tirami su=cheer me up), in which the main ingredient is the coffee. And yes, I guess it's very similar to your shortcake.
